The Romweber Party Place Story

The Party Place easily accommodates 500 guests for a sit down dinner or a wedding ceremony and reception. Air conditioned throughout, with a separate kitchen area with a private entrance located in the adjoining lobby, and clean and airy restrooms. Adjacent outdoor area provides a perfect setting for additional entertaining and can easily be tented.

Our ceremony room is over a 100 years in the making. We salvaged paneling, arch doors, mirrors and fret work, made by the RomWeber Furniture Company 40 years ago from the Celestial Restaurant in Cincinnati, and repurposed it in our ceremony room. The result is the perfect marriage between our history and modern day elegance. When hosting the ceremony, rehearsal with rehearsal dinner can easily be accommodated. We also have a charming bridal suite and groom's lounge that is included. Brides can now host their ceremony and reception all in one convenient setting.

Your special day deserves a historic celebration.

The section of the building where the bar is located was originally home to one of the first cabinet makers in Batesville; the Greeman Brothers, dating back to 1863. The bar is wrapped in century old paneling made from the original beams that supported the virgin timber floors of the factory. Today it provides the perfect backdrop for guests to quench their thirst. But please, no swinging from chandelier that was repurposed from a second floor fire escape ladder. Flexibility in meeting your alcohol needs is provided with either your caterer or you suppling the beverages, with appropriate permit and licensed bar tenders.

We provide total flexibility allowing your choice of caterers and table sizes along with many historic props available for rental, however for your convenience we have a list of preferred vendors to help you design your perfect day.
